Start Here: get Claude Code running
FreeFrom "never opened a terminal" to your first working AI command.
Time to complete: ~45 minutes
The problem
You've tried AI in a chat window and thought: nice, but this doesn't actually do anything for me. Before you sink an evening into it, you need answers:
- Can AI actually touch my files, my inbox, my task list?
- Do I need to learn programming for this?
- Which of the hundred tools do I actually need?
- What if I break something on my computer?
Figuring it out alone is hours of conflicting tutorials, and most people give up before their first real result. There's a faster way.
What you get
- Claude Code installed and running on your computer
- Your first conversation with it in the terminal (you only ever type one word)
- Your AI workspace: a folder on your computer where everything it builds will live
- The vocabulary everyone uses: models, tokens, and the three commands that matter
- Obsidian set up with a real structure for your briefings, notes, and task lists. You could run everything from Claude Code alone, but I want to show you this one, because you will love it
- Optional: VS Code installed and ready, for the day you build a real product
- The green light to start any other use case in the store
Who this is for
- Non-technical professionals who want AI to do real work, not just chat
- Business analysts, project managers, and marketers who are "the AI person" on their team without a technical background
- People who tried ChatGPT and hit the "nice, but useless" wall
- Anyone scared of the terminal who wants a hand held for the first 45 minutes
You need: a Windows or Mac computer, a Claude subscription (about $20/month), and about 45 minutes. If you're on a phone right now, save this page for your desktop.
FAQ
- Do I need to pay for anything? A Claude subscription, about $20/month. It goes to Claude's maker, not to me, and it powers every card in this store. Everything else here is free.
- I'm on Windows / I'm on Mac. Does it matter? No. Every command in the steps comes in both versions, clearly marked.
- Do I need to know how to code? No. You copy, paste, and press Enter. If you can send an email, you can do this.
- What if something fails during the install? Message the Telegram support bot and paste exactly what the terminal said. This is the step people most often need a hand with, and it's always solvable.
- What is Obsidian, and do I have to use it? A free notes app that shows the files you build as clean, readable notes. You could skip it and live in Claude Code alone, but I want to show it to you, because you will love it.
About the creator
I'm Anastasia, a business analyst who builds with AI every day. I run this exact workspace on my own computer with no programming background. This store is the proof: I built it with Claude Code, and nine skills do its daily work, from publishing lessons to writing my posts.
