Validate your product idea before you build it
Real research turns your idea into a green, yellow, or red verdict before you build.
Time to complete: ~45 minutes
The problem
You're about to spend weeks, and a chunk of savings, building something you're sure people want.
- Does anyone outside my own head actually want this?
- Who already solves it, and do they solve it the same way?
- How many weeks and how much money am I betting on a guess?
- Could I defend it with more than my own opinion?
The usual way to answer is to build it and find out: 2 to 8 weeks of full-time work before a single stranger says yes. There's a faster way.
What you get
idea-brief.md: your idea pinned to its real category, the customer group and the jobs it serves, and a differentiation list, each concrete way your idea differs from the lookalikes it will be mistaken foridea-validation-report.md: every differentiation claim tested against what real competitors actually do (not what they call themselves), 3 to 5 named alternatives, a six-dimension scorecard, and a green, yellow, or red verdict- A 7-day real-world test designed for your idea: the offer line written out, the one ask, and the pass numbers, plus pivot options grounded in the research if the verdict comes back yellow or red
- The two prompt files that built it all, yours to rerun on the next idea before it costs you a week
Who this is for
- Founders about to spend weeks and savings on a product nobody outside their own head has confirmed
- Business owners deciding whether a new product, tool, or service deserves a build at all
- Solo builders and indie makers weighing the next thing to build before it eats a month of their life
- Anyone whose idea keeps getting waved off, or waved through, on opinion instead of named evidence
You need: a desktop, Claude Code, ~45 minutes, and an idea, even a rough one.

FAQ
- Do I need Claude Code? Yes, it runs the interview and the research. No Claude Code yet? The free Start Here card gets you set up in about 45 minutes.
- Is this only for software products? No. It works for any idea you would otherwise build before checking: a product, a feature, a new service, a side project.
- My idea is barely a sentence. Is that enough? Yes. The interview is built to pull a rough idea into something specific enough to research, that is its whole job.
- What format are the files? Two plain prompt files (.md), plus the brief and the report Claude Code writes for you, both plain files you keep.
- Can I use it on more than one idea? Yes. The prompt files are yours: rerun them on the next idea, no extra charge.
- What if it doesn't fit my case? Tell me, refund, no form.
About the creator
I'm Anastasia, a business analyst who builds with AI every day. I ran this exact process on the idea of this store: the research read the prompt shops it gets mistaken for, on their real pages, and the difference held. Free tutorials were the honest gap.
